Watermarking
Watermarking makes it possible to distribute pre-release material (to management, press, radio stations etc.) with an unprecedented level of confidence that it will not be leaked prematurely. Should an unauthorized copy appear, the technology makes it possible to identify the source.
During the duplication process, an inaudible code is woven into the recorded content. The audio then contains its own, unique identifier.
Audio CD’s can be printed with customized information and can include the recipient’s name, company, and Legal notice of the watermark. All Watermarked CD’s are sealed with a tamper proof label. Any unauthorized copies or leaks can then be traced back to the original recipient, and appropriate action taken.
